Our semi self-catering apartments are designed for flexibility and ease – ideal for short stays, extended visits, or work-and-leisure travel. With newly added secure cycle storage, Boschhuis is also the perfect base for active guests looking to explore Stellenbosch and its world-class cycling routes of more than 1000km, including the scenic Jonkershoek Valley.

History of
Boschhuis Apartments
Situated in the quiet historic core of Stellenbosch, the property at 5 Minserie Street (Erf 1354) traces its origins to 1928, when the house was built in the Cape Dutch Revival style. Characterised by its distinctive gable, veranda and symmetrical proportions, the building forms part of the architectural fabric that gives Stellenbosch its unique sense of place. Over time, it has been formally recognised as a Provincial Heritage Site, reflecting both its architectural value and its contribution to the town’s historic streetscape.
Originally a private residence, the house was later sensitively adapted into guest accommodation, becoming known as Eendracht Apartments. While retaining its historic character, the interiors were reimagined to reflect elements of the Art Deco period, creating a layered narrative of design across decades. Today, as it enters a new chapter as Boschhuis Apartments – Stellenbosch, the property continues to balance heritage and hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to experience a living piece of Stellenbosch’s history.
